Traffic & Transportation Management 30 October 2004 The traffic and transportation issues surrounding a planned special event will depend on the audience size and market area; event site, time, and duration; and the type and scope of the event. The most common issues include modes of travel, traffic congestion, road capacity, routes, non-patron impacts, and traffic and pedestrian safety.
A Traffic Management Plan* should be developed in cooperation with the appropriate transportation, law enforcement, and public safety agency stakeholders and should address:
